Thursday, May 17 Join the OWLs for one of the last coffee concerts at Orchestra Hall before their yearlong renovation takes place. Osmo Vanska will direct the orchestra and Russian pianist Yevgeny Sudbin in Mozart's Piano Concerto #24. There will also be works by Prokofiev and Sibelius. Late lunch will be on your own at a downtown restaurant. Cost for transportation and ticket is $31. Leave church at 9 am and return by 4 pm. |

Thursday, June 21 Enjoy some hours of fun with the OWLs at Big Stone Mini Golf in Mound. There's an entertaining and unique mini course to try your skills and a sculpture garden known for its interesting pieces of original art created by Bruce Stillman. One review calls this site "funky and delightful". Bayview on Lake Minnetonka will be our destination for lunch. Leave LOL at 9:30 a.m. and return about 3:00 p.m. Cost for transportation and confirming your bus spot is $3. If you play golf it will be $7 payable that day. Lunch is on your own.

Thursday, July 19th View the Minneapolis skyline and hear some narrative facts about Minneapolis while on a one and a half hour luncheon cruise on the Mississippi Queen. We'll make a stop at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts afterwards for the MN Sports exhibit. There will be photos of sports in Minnesota from the late 19th century up to today. Leave church at 11 a.m. and return at 4 p.m. Cost of $37 covers the cruise, lunch and transportation. |
